Adopt-A-Plot

We are excited about your interest to adopt a garden plot!  We have a total of  38 garden plots at the Heritage Community Garden, located at 2100 Hutto Road in Georgetown, Texas. These are raised garden plots built from cement cinder blocks.

There are a variety of garden plot sizes. Most are two block layers high, but a few are three layers high.

We are happy to assist you in selecting a garden plot. Please visit our garden map to see how the beds are arranged and which ones are available for adoption. This piece of land is also rich in history; be sure to read the History of the Heritage Gardens.

We will supply:
  • Garden plot with soil

  • Water with hose access

  • Tools such as rakes, shovels, wheel barrows, and hand gloves

  • Seeds

  • Guidance on what to plant throughout the year

You'll be expected to:
  • Pay the one-time deposit and annual plot fee. See details about fees below.

  • Tend t o the plot you adopted by watering, weeding, and harvesting.

  • Harvest the produce when ready and give 10% back to the community.

  • Take action to control bugs and other pests.

  • Attend gardener meetings.

  • Follow the garden Guidelines and Rules.

Plot Fees:

Plot fees for Heritage Garden and Park include a deposit and annual fee. The deposit is a $20.00 one-time fee which is refundable when the plot is returned to the Park cleared out and in good condition. The annual plot fee is $20.00 and is per person, not per plot. If you are interested in adopting 2 or more plots, the annual fee is still $20.00.

So come grow with us!  We can’t wait to meet you!  If you want to adopt a plot please contact us. Thank you!
