EducationIf you are interested in learning how to garden, or wanting to enhance you current gardening knowledge, or just willing to share your gardening tips and expertise you can do so in any of the following ways. The first Saturday morning of every month you will find Heritage Garden families gathered around for food, fun, and fellowship. If you have a garden plot at Heritage, it is recommended that you attend these meetings. Natalie Vreeland, WCCHD’s horticulturist, leads this group for 1 hour discussing topics such as rules, guidelines, and volunteer/cleanup days. Meetings close with the Gardening 101 class topic for the day. These meetings are open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there! Free and open to the public, Gardening 101 classes cover a variety of basic gardening topics. The classes also offer nutritional information about the fruits and vegetables we grow as well as healthy preparation methods for meals and snack time. Check the calendar for class time and date. WCCHD, in conjunction with Heritage Community Gardens and Park,
is proud to offer a certification course for the gardeners of
Williamson County. The 7 week series of classes is taught by
professionals and serious gardeners. The course is geared towards
new and experienced gardeners who wish to become 'expert' Central
Texas gardeners. Follow the link above for all the details. For further questions please contact us today. |
