Heritage Community Garden
Heritage Community Garden is located in Georgetown, Texas. It is a beautiful 18 acre facility with raised and in-ground gardens. It has a Memorial Fruit Tree Orchard featuring Peaches, Plums, Pears, Apricots and Apples. We have constructed theme gardens, a play area under large Pecan trees and a greenhouse. In the spring we have a riotous meadow full of bluebonnets and wildflowers. A natural creek flows along the north boundary line.
The Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) and the City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department
have worked together to establish the Heritage Community Garden as a place for families and individuals to grow organic fruits and vegetables.
Families with young children, daycares, schools, after school programs, church youth groups and anyone else can visit us
to learn through hands on activities the benefits of gardening and explore nature
to see how it promotes a healthy, active lifestyle.
